Cortex AI is a portable AI assistant that runs entirely on your own computer — no cloud subscription required. Plug in the drive, and it brings local AI models for coding help, file management, and (optionally) email drafting assistance for your own Gmail account.
What it does
- Runs local open-source AI models directly on your PC's hardware — nothing you type leaves your machine unless you choose to.
- Coding assistant that can read, create, and edit files in a project folder you control, with your approval required before any change.
- Optional Gmail integration: reads your inbox and drafts replies for your review — it never sends anything without your explicit confirmation.
- Optional cloud AI providers (bring your own API key) for heavier tasks, entirely opt-in.
